Historically, Kurdějov was one of the most important wine-growing villages in Moravia. In 2012, they decided to renew the tradition of viticulture in Kurdějov and planted the first 7 hectares of vineyards. The Gurdau winery was established in cooperation with the Gala Winery from Bavory, Pálava. Calcareous subsoil and suitable climate – these are ideal conditions for the Riesling which is planted here in 6 clones originating from the Wachau, Alsace, Rheingau, and the Palatinate. Also, they grow Grüner Veltliner and Pinot Blanc. The tasting led by Natália Dvořák.
